I was a diet coke drinker for years. Reading all the negative effects of drinking soda, I switched to lemon water. At first I complained, until within a week I felt better, my complexion improved and I was actually losing belly inflammation. Now it is my drink of choice. I add mint, frozen berries and lime or orange to add new flavors to my lemon water.

Because of how hard lemon juice can be on the enamel of your teeth, it’s important to dilute it with water of any temperature (though lukewarm is recommended).
