Hi, I’m Jill
I left chaos and calm. For years I was a YES girl and did it all. A common question from friends was,
“How do you do it all?”
How are able to:
- Parent two boys as a single mom?
- Manage two businesses making a six-figure income?
- Involve yourself in community and church organizations?
- Create continuous content for your successful YouTube channel?
- Mentor other moms?
The answer, I wasn’t.
It was all a smoke screen of my depression, despair and heartache. My legs and joints were in constant pain and I was living off of caffeine and sugar, along with lugging 50 extra unwanted pounds.
November 18, 2015, I had a mental and physical breakdown. I was in my garage filling a big order with my online cookie cutter business, my body just stopped. I threw everything on the floor and just collapsed. In talking to my sister Kathy that day, she said three words that changed my path. She said, “Shut it down.” I said, “Shut what down?” She said, “Everything!”.
I didn’t think twice about the implications financially, but taking twenty steps to my office computer, I shut my online business down. Yes, $4,000 per month income – gone!
And yet, I was on a path of freedom.
I left chaos for calm
In 2016, I sold my business, gave away 80% of my things, moved to a small townhouse in San Diego and made my other business part-time. I also ended my drama-filled life and began a year of rest.
My new journey included morning meditations, journaling, prayer walks, eating nutrient based food, and watching a lot of sunsets.
I faced my fears and overcame big obstacles.
But then I asked, “What’s next?”
What came of this time is learning to hear God’s voice.
I listened and now live out my calling for my life.
To teach and inspire!
Everything I do today is within this purpose. When my body and heart start to feel overwhelmed, I know it is a sign. I stop – evaluate – and get back on my path. The hardest part is saying “no” to things that seem so good. I’m sure you can relate.
What I offer today are:
- Inspirational quotes and words of wisdom
- How to make a business doing what you love (I still make a six-figure income but it is now in my writing and teaching)
- Ideas on simple living
- Teaching ideas for preschool parents (I own a preschool)
- Creative ways to bake and decorate goodies – see my YouTube channel link too!
Please join my EMAIL list so we stay in touch.
My boys are adults now and are the greatest gifts a mom could ask for. They have been through a lot, yet they are kind, caring, loving, creative, funny, and full of character. Nick owns a film/media business and Tim is pursuing a career in acting.
