This DIY fabric wreath cannot be easier. You just need fabric in like-minded colors (we have a green collection for Christmas), a wire ring (sold at all craft stores) and a ribbon to hang from a door or wall.
How to make:
Cut fabric into 8-10 inch strips. You can make shorter or longer strips depending on the style you like. The strips should be at least 1/2 – 1 inch in width. You will need at least 100 strips. Now the fun begins. Tie the strips to the wire ring. Most wire rings have 2-3 areas to tie, so tie in the outer edge and inner edge to give the wreath a fuller look. If using a variety of fabric colors, make sure to spread them out as you tie so all the colors are dispersed. Gather the ties to make room for more fabric ties, as the more the merrier!
Once you are done, you can add holiday picks like ornaments, pinecones, birds etc. Then tie a bow at the top and hang on your door or wall.
Do not hang fabric wreath where there is direct sunlight as it will fade the fabric.
These fabric wreaths make wonderful Christmas gifts to be used throughout the year.
Also, a great DIY project with children.
