I love a clean home. It is not always easy with little ones and pets running around. Yet, with daily goals and incentives I have managed to keep my home spit-spot and free of clutter. Spring cleaning is somewhat of a rite of passage. It seems there is something in the spring air that says, “It’s time to get this house clean!” It is a way to overcome the winter blues of keeping your home closed up during the cold months. Once the cool winds come into season we open our doors and windows and welcome the sunshine.
I love setting goals, making lists and seeing my accomplishments. My Spring Cleaning guide is exactly what motivates me to keep my home clean and manageable.
As you download and print this guide, think of it as a fun. I used to have a negative emotion when it came to cleaning. Eventually I made cleaning an enjoyable part of my day. My favorite thing is washing dishes by hand. How about you? My least favorite is folding laundry but I now put on my favorite music and it makes it easier.
Included in the binder is a declutter incentive page. If you know my story, in 2015 I decluttered 80% of my belongings and sold my online business. It was drastic but necessary. I had created a home and life that became a burden. It hindered me from living my best life. Was it difficult to say goodbye to things I had held onto? Yes. But I don’t miss any of it. Recently I helped a friend move from a large home to an RV park (a really nice one!). It was a very emotional time for her as she had a difficult time giving up her things. It took many talks to encourage her that her giving, donating or selling her items was going to free her from the bondage of her home. She did it. Today she enjoys the outdoors, spends time with many new friends and living her best life. I hope that is encouraging to you.
