Thanksgiving isn’t just for pie! I actually love pie, but some of my family members would choose cake over pie. So, I created a variety of Thanksgiving cupcakes to give guests cake options. Decorating these cupcakes are simple and you can use the same colors of icing to make more than one decoration. Not only will it be a delicious addition to your Thanksgiving dessert table, but they are beautiful too.
To Make these Cupcakes:
You will need:
Cupcakes (we have lots of recipes),
Frosting (make your own or buy tub of icing)
Orange icing (I just mixed orange food coloring to my white icing)
Decorating bag with #3 tip or Freezer ziploc bag with small hole cut.
Fall color candies (red hots, sugar quins, candy corn)
How to get the Shiny Gloss Frosting:
To get a glossy smooth look of your frosting (makes it easier to decorate), just melt chocolate frosting in microwave 5-10 seconds to get a thick soup like consistency. Dip the cupcakes in the melted frosting and and let drip off. Let set about 10 minutes before decorating.
